Days…weeks…okay, months before Christie and Rob even got engaged, Christie and I dreamt about what her engagement pictures would look like. We stalked blogs, talked outfits, and gathered inspiration for when the time finally came. Well friends, he popped the question, and here they are!! God just knew that Christie wanted “the perfect light” in her pictures, so he gave us just that…beautiful golden rays.

Christie and Rob are such a sweet couple and don’t be fooled by Rob’s macho-man exterior-because I may soon hire him as my “creative director” with all the awesome shot ideas he came up with! Thank you for being so fun and I can’t wait for the wedding!! Enjoy–you two love birds!

Where do I begin?! I had so much fun with this couple. Drew and Michelle are newly married and cute-as-can-be! We did a whirlwind tour of Newport News the other night and got tons of great shots! I’m so glad we sqeezed this session in, because Drew is a Marine and will soon be deployed to Afghanistan. Distance is tough on relationships, but it is SO clear how much these two looooove each other and I feel so blessed to have captured a glimpse of that love!

Drew, thank you so much for your service and we can’t wait until you come home again!!

4th on the Farm

I LOVE the 4th of July! To me, it’s the epitome of summer time…fireworks, beautiful weather, good food, and time with friends. That sounds so cheesy but I don’t care, I still love it! I spent this weekend visiting my boyfriend “down on the farm”… Polyface Farm that is. Polyface is an amazing place-you should check it out!

So, in true 4th of July fashion, I watched fireworks in Staunton, got to spend time with awesome people, and ate delicious “beyond organic” Polyface food!

Here are some pics from my fun-on-the-farm weekend…can’t wait to go back!

We went fishing and I caught a fish!… but I didn’t want to hold it… haha

One of the many things I learned this weekend is that pigs may look cute, but they literally have the loudest squeals of any living creature! My ears would not stop ringing after this!Here is Michael, the guard dog…I love him!

I wish I had more time in the day…enough time to have a full time job (not photography) and still edit all the pictures that I want to share. The reality is- I don’t. This past weekend, I got to go to Boston with my roommates Bev and Steph. We decided to do a little “portrait sesh” while we were there. I, of course, took TONS more pics, but this one caught my eye and I thought I would put it up to hold Bev over until i get the rest done! I hope you love it Bevy- You are gorgeous and i promise to put more up soon.

I’m off to San Francisco tomorrow, so stay tuned for more fun pics from my jet-setting adventures!

Dan and Natalie- thank you for allowing me to capture these moments with you and your sweet boys! I had so much fun exploring Colonial Williamsburg and seeing the farmer’s market for the first time! Ava Michelle | Two Years Old

Ahh! It feels like just yesterday that Megan and I were leaning against the door of the hospital room waiting to hear the first cry from our soon-to-be “niece”. Ava Michelle just turned two at the end of April and I have LOVED watching her get so big! It’s great that I can finally talk to Ava and have her semi-understand what I’m saying Rachel and Adam- have a date night soon and send her over to my house to play!!
