Fabulous Finds

Okay, I’ll admit it…I love thrift stores (and antique stores, yard sales, and estate sales). It’s like a modern day treasure hunt for things that are way cheaper than in the swanky designer stores. Why spend $50 when you could spend $5?!

Not only is thrifting a great way to decorate your house, it’s also wonderful for wedding and party decorations. Literally 90% of the things I used to decorate my own wedding came from antique and thrift stores. My mom and I would go on outings and hit as many thrift stores as possible to find items to match my theme. We ended up with boxes and boxes of things that I, luckily, have been able to re-use in my house! Sure, it might take a few extra hours of hunting to find what you want, but I highly recommend grabbing a friend and making a day out of it! You might be surprised to see what you find!

So, here are a few of my favorite finds…or as I like to call them my “fabulous finds”!

These candle sticks are my latest purchase and I’m in LOVE! The cute little owl figurine was a dingy brown when I bought it, but after a few coats of spay paint, it looks great!And now for some real life examples of how much money you can save… West Elm on the left-  $29 each, and mine on the right- $5. Total savings of $53!Again, West Elm on the left- $39 and my little cuties on the right- $3. Total savings of $36!I love this bowl to display fruit!I haven’t done it yet, but I’ve always wanted to fill this goblet up with milk and have milk and cookies…you know, reeeeal classy!And here’s the whole gang in all their splendor!Happy thrifting!
