It poured rain as I drove down I-64 towards Virginia Beach. I prayed that the rain would clear and the wedding would go off without a hitch. Well, the wedding went off without a hitch, and even though it rained for most of the day, there were a few clear patches…just enough for some outdoor portraits! And, hey, rain is “good luck” right?! The beautiful Waterman’s Restaurant was the perfect back drop to Julie & David’s bright and nautical wedding and in spite of the rain, it was a gorgeous day!

, Julie is one of the sweetest people I know and I’m blessed to call her a friend! She’s strong, she’s warm, she’s nurturing, and she loves deeply. David is kind, caring, the perfect match for Julie, and one lucky man to call her his wife. I have loved watching this couple grow thus far and I’m so excited to see their love continue to grow in marriage.

Julie kept this handkerchief with her all day in memory of her dad. What a stunning bride!I love that Julie included a mother-daughter dance! It was so special!Praise the Lord! The rain stopped and we were able to do some portraits on the boardwalk!
