Kelli & Logan Engagement Portraits | Staunton, VA

The longer I live in Staunton, the more I love it. When I moved here last spring, I think I was mostly in a culture shock from a number of things…like moving to a new place, getting married, farming for the first time, and not living close to a Target, just to name a few. Well, I’m finnnnally settling in to this cute, little, country town and I’m loving it. I recognize the “locals”, I have my favorite coffee shops, and I know the man named Marvin who owns my favorite antique store downtown (…really, Marvin deserves his own blog post, but I’ll save that for another time). Charming. That’s the word that comes to mind when I think about this town. Buddy’s mom says it best while we’re walking through the streets and says, “It feels like we’re on a movie set”. And it’s true, it’s like a step back in time.

Allllll that to say that I love shooting in my new hometown and when I met with Kelli and Logan and they told me they were getting married in downtown Staunton, I was thrilled! It’s the perfect back drop for pictures and I only have to drive 15 minutes to get there!

This couple is great! Kelli is a laugher. At any given time, her face is just one second away from lighting up with a big smile and laugh. This is good because Logan is a “make-you-laugh-er” (totally made that up, but you know what I mean, right?!) He’s hysterical and he knows just what to do to put a smile on Kelli’s face. These two are so much fun to be around and I had a blast shooting them! We started shooting downtown and then made our way to the farm for some more shots!

Kelli & Logan, thanks for letting me be a part of this special time in your lives and I can’t wait for your wedding day!!
